Iris Kennels

The American Cocker Spaniel is a direct descendent of the English Cocker Spaniel. In 1882 it was introduced to the United States, where breeders wanted to develop a small companion dog with a marvelous coat. Recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1946, the American Cocker Spaniel has become the most popular dog in the United States.
